The brands’ merchandise offends certain consumers. It is not unusual for several of these brands to have received fines recently. Target, one of the biggest apparel stores in the US, has chosen to showcase a product with a distinctive appearance. Nonetheless, other businesses have previously employed such strategies. Reign Murphy found some of the tweets disrespectful, so she took to Twitter to voice her disapproval of the behavior. Reign received a lot of attention when she shared images of the top on Twitter.
Her T-shirt said, “OCD Christmas obsessive-compulsive disorder,” written by her. This design can possibly be disturbing to those who are suffering from mental illness. She did not like the colors or the size of the top, but she was taken aback by the t-shirt’s statement. For those who have been diagnosed with OCD, it is a difficult experience. OCD is a psychological disorder that affects about 2.2 million Americans, and all of them support the author’s writing and way of thinking.
In actuality, not everyone believed it was done intentionally. Not everyone finds humor funny or understands it, and many people who claim to have OCD are unaffected by it. Jessica Carlson, a representative for Target, apologized to any customers who were harmed by the product. She further mentioned that the sweater would be marketed in the future because there was no malicious intent. One mother utilized t-shirts that said “wedding,” “prize,” and “Mrs.” to vent her frustration.
A woman’s body, in her opinion, should not be purchased, sold, raped, or utilized in any other way. She would not buy her daughters this t-shirt.
